What We Do
LARGE FORMAT PRINT
From printing with archival pigment inks in up to 11 colours, to the latest eco-friendly Latex printers and incredibly versatile flatbed UV printing, we have the equipment and the people to deal with a multitude of print and display projects for indoor and out.
Our print capability is backed up by state of the art computer cutting machines and an experienced production team who ensure the perfect finish.
DIRECT TO MEDIA
Direct to Media UV Printing allows us to print on almost any surface up to 50mm thick. Our printer uses six-colour archival inks which are almost instantly cured on the surface using ultra-violet light; resulting in a long lasting, water resistant image.
The addition of white ink means that we can produce high quality, vibrant images on dark coloured media and create special effects on transparent materials such as glass or Perspex.
Materials: Foamex / Dibond / Perspex / Wood / Glass / Leather / Vinyl / Metal / Foil
FINE ART PRINT
Sometimes known as Giclée, we refer to ours as Digital Pigment Prints. With the latest technology and the highest resolutions, we can achieve exceptional results on a wide range of leading fine art papers including Somerset and Hahnemühle.
The twelve-colour, 200 year archival inks are also ideal for printing on to artist canvas which we can stretch for you using custom-made exhibition quality frames.
VINYL PRINT & CUT
Our eco-friendly HP Latex printers produce an unbeatable quality print on all types of self-adhesive vinyl. We have the resources to adhere graphics onto the trickiest of surfaces, from conformable hi-tack vinyl on exterior brickwork and cobbled paths to ultra-peel vinyl on 300-year old limestone walls. Our vinyl meets even the most stringent of regulations and safety requirements and has been installed in numerous hospitals, Grade II listed buildings and throughout the London Underground network.
Vinyl cut has long been a favourite with galleries and retailers as it is simple, cost effective and easy to install. Vinyl comes in an almost endless range of colours and finishes and, with the latest computer cutting technology, we are able quickly turnaround lengthy texts, intricate patterns and entire installations on the largest of scales.
Applications: Signage / Retail Windows / Gallery Walls / Offices / Manifestations / Vehicles / Installations
Our wallpapers are printed in strips, or drops, which can make up a dazzling pattern or a single large-scale image once installed. We have printed and installed a wide variety of wallpapers, vinyl and textured wall coverings in art galleries, stores, hospitals and corporate offices around the UK and Europe.
A material known as PVC Free Wallpaper makes up the majority of these prints, having become a favourite of ours for its excellent colour quality and fine matt surface. It installs quickly as it is pre-pasted and water activated, so doesn’t require any special adhesives, removing just as easily at the end of exhibitions without causing any damage.
Interior and exterior signage comes in many forms. From corporate identity and wayfinding to retail, galleries and fascias, we can print and install permanent and temporary signage in a wide range of materials to suit almost any situation. We work with multiple design companies in creating innovative ways of catching people’s attention. Five metre wide banners can be welded endlessly to create giant graphic displays, hoarding can be printed and installed to disguise building works in progress, and giant fabric flags can be printed using dye-sublimation.
Materials: Acrylic / Foamex / Di-bond / Stainless Steel / Aluminium / Banner / PVC / Wood / Fabric
From the standard opaque matt and gloss through to more exciting, specialist options such as mirrored, glow-in-the-dark, 3M Optically Clear and florescent; we have the materials and the latest equipment capable of producing window graphics of any size, shape or colour down to tiny stickers or decals.
Coloured translucent films can enliven office spaces, whilst frosted and one-way vision offer immediate privacy without blocking out natural light. We regularly produce and install full-colour, full-size window graphics for retailers and pop-up events, transforming glazed surfaces in to versatile graphic backdrops for brand engagement and visual merchandising.
CNC CUTTING & FABRICATION
Our versatile ESKO Kongsberg machine can cut, crease and shape almost any sheet or roll material. The precision computer-aided system and extensive range of tools ensures perfect results whether trimming wallpaper drops, milling sheets of MDF or perforating the creases on 3D cardboard sculptures. We love working on unusual and challenging projects – call us to see how we can help you.

Guy’s Hospital Cancer Centre
Karel Martens, 2016
Inspired by Thomas Mann’s The Magic Mountain, Karel Martens brings a new installation to Guy’s Hospital Cancer Centre in London. The Mountain makes up one of five major artistic commissions in a £1.7m arts and design programme curated by Futurecity and directed by acclaimed design consultancy, Pentagram. Martens’ signature technique transforms images of mountain landscapes into complex patterns of coloured pixels. Omni printed and installed over 300 square metres of long-life vinyl with scuff-resistant seal to transform the lift lobby walls over 9 hospital floors. Photos Ron Bambridge.

Guerrilla Girls, 2016
3Omni has been very proud to support the Whitechapel Gallery in the first dedicated UK exhibition of celebrated feminist activist group, the Guerrilla Girls, producing posters, floor vinyl, and a number of large sale graphic panels for the Gallery walls. The Guerrilla Girls were founded in 1985 by an anonymous group of women artists to expose the inequality of the male dominated world of art, culture and politics, the Guerrilla Girls burst on to the scene with a poster campaign on the streets of New York in 1986, stating It’s Even Worse in Europe. Three decades on, their Whitechapel Gallery exhibition Is it even worse in Europe? features the responses to a questionnaire about diversity sent to 383 European galleries and institutions. Omni printed selections from the responses to hang in the Archive Gallery whilst the floor vinyl works as a naming-and shaming of the institutions that failed to respond. The exhibition has been featured in a wide range of media including the Evening Standard, The Art Newspaper, The Guardian and Artnet. Photos David Parry / PA Wire / Dan Weill.

Zarah Hussain, an MA graduate of the Prince’s School for Traditional Arts in London, has spent many years perfecting the traditional Islamic, mathematically precise geometric art. The commission in the Barbican Centre foyer, Numina, is a site-specific, sculptural installation which formed part of Transcender – the Barbican’s season of ecstatic, hypnotic
and psychedelic music from across the globe. Omni worked with Zarah to develop fifty pyramids for the installation, each slotting together on site to make up a giant tessellating five-metre by five-metre hexagonal grid.

Art on the Underground
Art on the Underground provide much needed visual and intellectual stimulation to journeys around London. We have been pleased to work with them in recent years on several projects; one of which being <i>Art for Everyone, Everyday</i> celebrating 15 years of the Art on the Underground programme. Gloucester Road Station featured a large scale vinyl graphic covering all nineteen 5m-high arches along the disused platform, and was accompanied by smaller installations at Stratford concourse and the escalators at Notting Hill. Our latest project was for renowned British-Iranian photographer and film-maker, Mitra Tabrizian. <i>you don’t know what nights are like?</i> utilises the hoarding on The Cut and Blackfriars Road at Southwark Station to display her huge-scale stitched photographs and text. 401 are a London based design studio specialising in identity, exhibition and print design and their clients include architects, cultural institutions and civic bodies. Commissioned by The Architects’ Journal, 401 created a flexible and sustainable exhibition for MIPIM UK 2014 at Olympia London, showcasing new work by 79 architectural practices from around the globe. As well as printing and building walls around the space, we produced around 150 linear metres of computer cut recyclable honeycomb which formed a concertina arrangement, ideal for displaying graphics and information. We have also worked with the group on projects for the NLA, King’s Cross Visitors Centre and TfL.

Having worked on several projects for conceptual art legend Lawrence Weiner at South London and Lisson Galleries, we were proud to produce and install a major body of his work at Blenheim Palace: Within A Realm Of Distance. After extensive testing, several techniques and materials were used in order to preserve the 300-year old limestone walls that made up the heritage site: low tack ultra-peel vinyl was applied to the ceiling of the Long Library and walls of the Chapel, lightweight built up letters installed above the main entrance, and built up Foamex phrases were fixed to the walls of the Great Hall.

Gibson / Martelli
We’ve worked closely with Gibson / Martelli developing and producing projects that have been exhibited at Somerset House, Arthouse1, Collyer Bristow Gallery and the Barbican Centre. The duo create installations and performance spaces using virtual reality, print and video technology. Big Bob, exhibited at the Jaffe-Friede Gallery USA, is their largest work to date: a giant harlequin structure printed on fluted board, computer cut and creased in sections to stand at 13m long fully assembled.
